On Tuesday 16th November 2021, FESE and EuropeanIssuers hosted a joint webinar, ‘How to keep companies in Europe?’, to complement the European Small and Mid-Cap Awards.
Held during SME week, the webinar was an opportunity to bring together a range of stakeholders to discuss how to facilitate access to finance for SMEs, and how to attract SME listings in Europe. Discussions encompassed the final report of the Technical Expert Stakeholder Group (TESG) on SMEs, as well as the need to boost the development of smaller capital markets – where most companies are SMEs, and the investment gap remains significant.
As guest speakers, FESE was delighted to welcome Tatyana Panova, Head of the Capital Markets Union Unit at DG FISMA, Barbara Lunghi, Head of Primary Markets at Borsa Italiana, Jesús González Nieto-Márquez, Head of BME Growth at BME, and Mirosław Kachniewski, Chairman of SEG.
